You really need to push your doctor for the reasons your husband has such profuse sweating. I suggest you ask for a referral to a CML specialist centre if you are not already treated at one.

Which area do you live in?

Sandy

w davies we live in north wales we have asked the cancer specialist at the hospital and he said his sweating is nothing to do with his C M L but hes never sweated like this before hes been diagnosed with lukemia

If at night hes drinking lots of water and going to the toilet alot Diabetes? has he got a enlarged spleen?
please get refered to a CML specialist centre,You could go back to your GP for advice about your concerns

When my husband was first diagnosed we came across a booklet for cancer patients with information about diet and nutrition. One of the things it included was recipes for people who found they couldn't eat very much. And everything was easy to make which was a big help. There is an onine version of it here:

Just recently I've also "discovered" my local Maggie Centre. These are specialist cancer support centres that provide help and advice on all sorts of things. The one that I visited had lots of information on meals and nutrition, and even does a whole course on nutrition. They definitely have one in wales (not sure where). If it is too far away from you, you can give them a call. I've found their team to be truly helpful - they listen to your concerns and often have practical help they can give. Here's their website:

I hope that helps. Wishing you and your husband all the best.

As you live in North Wales you could get a referral to Liverpool Royal. The CML specialist there is Prof. Richard Clark.
I did not mean a cancer specialist I meant a CML expert clinician who would have a lot experience in treating CML patients. Of course profuse sweating is to do with CML it is one of the general symptoms of Leukaemia.

You really do need to ask for a referral as apart from the fact that your husband has no appetite, the sweating, from what you have described, is profuse and this alone should be investigated.

Is your GP supportive? If so maybe he/she would put some urgent pressure on your husband's doctor to urgently refer him to a specialist CML clinician such as Prof. Clark

Best wishes,
Sandy
