Nowadays, whilst in Chronic Phase, CML is commonly treated with drugs called tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs). Typically taken orally as one tablet each day, TKIs have revolutionised CML treatment.
This revolution has led to dramatically improved long-term survival rates. They allow most CML patients to live their normally expected life span with a good quality of life. In this Available Treatments section, we look at each of the TKI therapies currently available.
