CML UK – New Facebook page set up.

Hi all, I have set up a page today on Facebook as a UK page. There are other CML sites on Facebook, but those I have found tend to be US based and so do not know or understand the excellent system we have here in the UK, or the fact we wait for results.
( While I mention UK all of course all are welcome on the page )

There are some wonderful sites out on the web, such as CMLsupport, that you can get comprehensive information from, and i do not want to take anyone anway from them, however I feel that sometimes I / we don’t feel right sharing the more mundane day to day stuff, or PCR figures / Biopsy results for not wanting to clog up better informative sites. My idea here is to drop in and out and say hi or well done to CML friends. Hope it works.

( Ps: set up today on the first anniversary of my diagnosis, and feeling good )

Heres to us all. Nigel

This link is correct to the new Group - changed it, if you read the posts below.

I have just joined your facebook page Nigel. well done!

Hi all,

Facebook is not something i used much thus when setting up the site did so as a page and not a group, thus I now gather if a group you get better page layouts and threads that are easier to follow for items we all add, also you can add family and friends etc directly to the group yourselves. So I have set up a group now, still called CML UK if you search Facebook, but it does mean to those 40 that have liked in the past couple of days will need to reregister via the link below. You need to click the ask to join group link, then the request gets approved.

Really sorry, but as been getting 20 a day joining better to do now than in a couple of days...

Sorry again.

Nigel

Hi Nigel,
Good luck with your page- which I have joined. I do hope that you will still post your PCR and other test results on here too? We reach over 6000 individuals worldwide and many find just reading about others results etc. informs their own treatment decisions.

Yes will do,get my BMB back in 4 weeks hoping for a nil - CCR as this will be my 12 month result. Hope to generate some traffic to CMLsupport, will look into seeing if i can add a perminant link though if thats ok as the two are so inter linked, also adding Glasgow etc.

Nigel

I personally actually prefer pages, as a page's status updates appear on my newsfeed. with groups you have to remember to click on the group if you want to read things. but i will gladly join either :)
