An alcoholic extract of the betel leaves may help patients suffering from chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). The compound hydroxychavicol (HCH) is the major component of the alcoholic extract of the betel leaves and it might contribute, at least in part, to the observed anti-CML activity of the leaf extract. Another molecule identified as chlorogenic acid, code-named icb- 101 is also a component of the alcoholic extract.
We can also find chlorogenic acid into coffee, green coffee bean and dandelion coffee (also dandelion tea). (See also http://www.cmleukemia.com/can-dandelions-kill-cancer.html )
