hi i am a cml patient
my pcr 3 months back was 5.876
recently it showed pcr 2.23 & below it was written IS-NCN 1.40 (europe against cancer )EAN standard scale
what does this mean?

Ashu,
If you need an answer from the Susan LeClair, then you must click on the link in the above post.

However, I will try to help as far as I can.

I am not able to tell you what the 'EAN standard scale' means but your recent PCR result of 2.23 looks like it has been converted by the lab your doctor uses, to the International Scale (or IS).

This just means that the lab that tested your sample by PCR has generated their own (local)value of 2.23% BCR-ABL1 transcripts from your last sample.

However, they have been able to use their own 'conversion factor' (which is different for each local lab) to convert their result to one on the IS scale. This IS result shows a lower percentage i.e. 1.40% BCR-ABL1 transcripts.
I am not expert and cannot be sure that this explanation is correct, so I advise you to ask your doctor to confirm that your latest result is 1.4% on the IS (International Scale).
