I,ve just read the essential reading article, Wikipedia's CML entry and in particular the two articles on prognosis which I found a bit scary as they measure in months. One of the facters in the calculations was spleen size. Well I dont have one, I had ITP (Idiopathic Thrombociteappenia purpura- or how ever you spell it) in my twenties and after much fafing about with huge doses of steroids to get my platelet count up, which failed, they took my spleen out. So obviously I dont suffer the pain of an enlarged spleen but appart from that, I dont know what this might mean for me now, good thing or bad thing?. Dont suppose anyone with a bit more knowledge on the subject can shed any light on the matter.
