I was on 400mg of Glivec but this was increased last year to 600mg and even this began to be less and less effective. I am now on a trial of Disatinab and the immediate effect of this is as good as Glivec was when I first used it 2 years ago.
Has anyone else similar experiences with Glivec and has anyone been using Disatinab for more than a few weeks?
I am told that bone marrow transplants are now available for CML sufferers whose siblings are not suitable as donors. Is this a very new technology and what is the success rate, problems if successful and results of failure? Any information would be appreciated.
