Mouth Bleeds

I have been reading the posts on people who suffer with eye bleeds and was wondering if anyone has had a problem with mouth bleeds.

I get what can only be described as a blood blister in my mouth. I was prescribed a course of anti viral drugs which sorted it out but apparently I can't stay on them. I have just finished the course and within two days they are back and I have had 3 in 4 days.

I will be talking to the doc again when I see him next but would appreciate any views / comments people may have.

Hi,
I get what I would call blood blisters. They usually appear after if have bitten the inside of my mouth or after I have eaten something hard or sharp. They go away within a day or though. I don't know if this is what you are talking about or not. I am on 400mg Glivec Daily.

hi,
mouth ulcers can respond to increased vitamin C and/or a general vitamin and mineral supplement. you may be a little 'run down' if you have suffered from any recent colds or flu.
as far as i am aware it is not a side effect of Glivec like 'eye bleeds'
best wishes,
Sandy

I too get blood blisters in my mouth, again after eating something salty or rough, like crisps, French Bread etc. Some of them are pretty big, ulcers too are far more prevalent.

As I never had them pre CML or pre Glivec, I am pretty sure that it is something to do with the 400 mg Glivec.

I too get blisters in the roof of my mouth that very quickly bleed. I thought that it had to do with the thinning of the skin, caused by Glivec.
