Let a little sunshine in.

Over the last few months, I have had small itchy patches and "gritty" areas almost anywhere which were slowly increasing in number/size. I had earlier got rid of an unpleasant rash by using Doublebase cream. My skin used to retain a good colour, but it had become white and translucent. I used to tan very easily, but not any more.

However, since I have been enjoying these beautiful sunny days, I now find that the itchy/gritty patches are reducing/disappearing. I wondered if it was due an increase in Vitamin D resulting from exposure to the sun, but there are a couple of remaining patches where the sun don't shine - on my hips.

Notwithstanding that my tan is more rouge than it used to be, it seems that a bit of sunshine has done me some good.

Hello
well said, use the power of nature to your benefit, we all need Vit D and the best natural source is sunshine, used sensibly, very good for you. No good being a cave dweller and becoming palid and tender, little by little get out there. I would think that once your skin gets used to the air, it could toughen a bit, and you could be ok. Cannot comment on the hips tho' think that goes under the heading of 'naughty white bits'
Always have fun and always keep smiling
