hemoglobin

Hi all,had an appointment yesterday and my hb was 10.8 is this quite low,thanks guys.

It really depends on the individual. An hgb count of under 10 is usually considered low. 10.8 is not too bad but it does depend on what you are used to.

I found that when I was taking Glivec my hgb never was much more than 10.2, but I seemed to manage on that and got used to it over time.
Now I have an hgb of over 13 so I am much more energetic. I think the norm for women is anything between 11 and 14 so you are not doing too bad...;o)
