Just opened a new box of glivec. (Australia)
New Updated Glivec Medicine Information pamphlet inside with Side Effect updates etc
Novartis Statements for Side Effects Added are the notes:
"Loss of interest in sex, problems with sexual function"
"Breast enlargement, nipple pain and PAINFUL PERIODS"

This is the only new update that is a statement in relation to hormones - should be even fully highlighted but a start.
So ladies Painful Periods are not in your minds - does actually happen.
The more we inform our specialists and Novartis of problems
such as hormones and the impacts perhaps further research may be considered on the gals and irregular and heavy period issue.
I would hate for the same thing that happened to me in April with a massive bleed-out - raced to hospital with a radical hystertomy - yes - glivec related? age related? cml related? or all three? no medical could say why - I believe it was glivec related - no problems previously
