Dasatanib - stiffness

Hi,
We haven't been in touch recently as everything is going according to plan.

My husband had had CML for three years and has beeen on Dasatanib for a year. His main side effect has been extreme tiredness, but recenly has been getting stiffness/aches in arms,hips. This is obviously an effect of his medication but it would be good to hear from others in the same situation and to know if it might improve or not. Also if there is anything we can do to alleviate. The hospital have just said it is a side effect.

On a brighter note his pcr result last week is down to 0.06 - lowest yet.

I would recommend some sort of complimentary therapy like reflexology or even acupuncture... see my note to Pat about this on another thread further down this page.... my friend who is suffering bad side effects from several rounds of high dose chemotherapy (she has an aggressive form of breast tumour) is finding acupuncture very effective in countering the worst effects of such toxic drugs.

I have had reflexology in the past and found it very helpful on several levels. Particularly with fatigue.
