Petition to Number 10

Hi Sandy

Have joined the petition, however would like to know how people without e.mail service can put forward their names, I have tried to enrol both my mother and in-laws from my e.mail address unfortunately it will only accept 1 name per e.mail address, is there a way of getting around this.

On a further note I have a meeting with the local MP, Paul Keetch, on Friday 11 December and will be putting forward the points in the news items.

Many thanks for all your help.

It is great to hear that you have arranged a meeting with your MP. I think a face to face meeting is so much more effective than a letter or email.

No doubt you will be planning what to say but I hope you will not think me rude if I make one suggestion. I wrote most of the paragraphs numbered 1 to 8 on the Dec 1 Newswire so that I could hand my MP a summary of my concerns written on one side of paper. My thinking was that any more than a side and he will be too busy to read it but I wanted him to have something for future reference. It would be better if you put your concerns into your own words but my version may give you something to build on. I should add that I claim nothing original in those paragraphs - I was very grateful to bring together in my own words the points that others had already posted on this site.

Good luck for your meeting.

You can easily set up a new email addresses for your mother and in laws. The email address/name doesn't have to be anything meaningful and can be set up with hotmail, yahoo, google as examples.

After you have received and replied back to the verification email you can always cancel or let the account expire.

Great work folks. I have an appointment with my MP on 11 December, but now have an interview that day so can't make it - company being reorganised and we have to apply for new jobs. I'll try to re-arrange.
