Interview in the local paper

My interview went well, reporter was lovely and really willing to help.

Interestingly, my MP Mark Lancaster has not responded to any of my emails.

One call from sally the journalist and suddenly I get a call from his office to say he has written to the secretary of state but can't sign the EDM as he is a member of the government.

Power of the press!

Hope the article helps get a few signatures if nothing else, there may also be a follow up article next week about what my MP has actually done to help.

Well done. possible adverse publicity pressure always works in getting MP's interested. re: his signing the EDM- at least 6 members of this government have signed it- 2 conservatives and 4 LibDems- so his excuse is not really credible.

parents of children i have taught, kids i have taught and old friends have been in touch and all want to help, really lovely to have that sort of support. Hopefully they will all sign the petition.

had the usual response from the department of health in paper form today. very frustrating

going on holiday tomorrow, looking forward to a break (consultant finally agreed i could go after platelets went up to 70 yesterday, phew) will keep checking in on my phone see how everything is going, wish i could go to Manchester too.
