Dad passed away

Hi All

I haven't posted a lot on this forum but have occassionally so thought I should let you know that as Dad's CML changed to AML he lost his fight on 10 February 2012.  He tried everything that was offered but unfortunately there was nothing more that could be done.

He stayed at home and had all his family around him.

Thank you for your posts when I had any questions. I hope you are able to continue with your individual fights.

Take care.

Hi Mistymoo, very sorry to hear of your loss.

Having lost both my parents in the last few years I initially struggled to deal with the new reality, and still find myself thinking "I must tell Dad about that". Remember the good times, and give yourself a lot of credit for the way in which you supported him through his illness

Best wishes

Alastair.

I am so sorry to hear your news. Losing a parent is hard, but I am glad  your Dad was able to be at home rather with his loved ones. It must be overwhelmingly sad for you, but thanks for letting us know.

With deepest sympathy and the sincere condolances on behalf of CMLSg.

Sandy

So sorry to hear this and think you've been very brave, especially in granting him the ability to die at home with you.

Like Alastair, I too am plagued with glancing at the message machine daily to see what little thing my Mum has thought of and the mounting list of things I want to tell her about.

My heart goes out to you over the coming time and that you begin to enjoy the memories of the good times.

Blessings

Vickie
