Hi,
Is anyone going to the support group at hammersmith? Was thinking about going, i've never been to one before though, don't know if it is worth it.
Thanks
Sharon
It is well worth a visit to the meeting. They are very informal, normally around a dozen of us there. Dragana is the speaker once more, & will be able to answer any questions that you may have. I have been to every one in the last 4 years, & its really useful to meet up with others who are in the same boat. We all chip in with questions & answers, & I allways take something new away from the meeting.
Hope to see you there.
Hi Sharon,
My husband and I went to our first meeting last year (he was diagnosed in Nov 2010).He felt very dubious about going but eventually decided to give it a try. He will tell you himself (hopefully you will decide to go along)that he learnt more that morning than he had in attending any of his hospital appts. It is informal and people are friendly and welcoming - it is so well worth attending, not only does it give you a chance to meet other people but reassures you that CML is something you can and will learn to live with!
Hope to meet you there.
