Here in Clinical Haematology, our mission is to provide the highest quality clinical care for our patients, and develop novel diagnostic and therapeutic tools from our basic and translational research programmes, and to train and develop the next generation of medical and scientific professionals.
The Haematology team at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital are dedicated to the research and treatment of a wide variety of diseases of the blood and to the diagnosis and care of patients with blood and lymphatic diseases.
The team has expertise in all areas of haematology, with particularly well-recognised depth and experience in disorders affecting blood platelets, haemorrhagic (bleeding) and thrombotic (clotting) disorders, haematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma) and other bone marrow disorders.
