This week was my 5yr mark and I finally got the 0.000.
I currently go to North Middx hospital but am thinking of changing. They haven't got a clue there about any of the trials taking place elsewhere. I've been asking for two years because my results have always been so good. I'd love to go to Hammersmith but it's too much hassle. I'm thinking about UCLH. Does anybody go there?

I hit the big Zero
Congratulations on your lovely zero's. Regarding getting to hammersmith- I live in east london (E!7) and still make the treck to HH. Driving there is a nightmare so now I get the tube to East Acton and walk the 1/4 mile to HH.
I have not heard from anyone who goes to UCLH so can't comment- CML specialists in London are basically at HH or Kings. Others may have more advice about other possible centres- but I agree with you that you need to be treated somewhere that has knowledge about or is actively involved in clinical trials etc. If you are thinking about DESTINY? t=If so then HH would be the choice in London as they have the central lab that is testing all the DESTINY samples in the UK (apart from Liverpool and maybe Glasgow?)
Sandy
Hi, I am under the Royal Free for my CML. I have been extremely pleased with my treatment. UCH and Royal Free are linked in haematology and several of the consultants have clinics at both sites. UCH is now a very big haematology unit. I go there for some other issues and have nothing but good to say about the hospital.
regards
Susan
