Bitter taste/strain in lower left abdomen (lymph node)

Hi all,

im new to this forum and have been dxed with CML about 2 months ago. Male,33years old and on Sprycel 100 mg. Didn't experience any side effects until 2 days ago, when I started feeling strain near left upper groin area ( I think it's lymph node) and at the same time having bitter taste in my tongue...also I have discomfort on my left hip side and been belching.

i usually take my Sprycel before I go to bed around 9 pm,but lately I started my shift work which I had toward up around 2am and get ready for work. Before that I never recall having side effects.

just need to know your opinion and if anyone has similar experience. Newbie and getting paranoid lately about it, my doctors appointment is due in 2 weeks time and I'm anxious already.

please help?

Hi Stephen.

I had pain in the inside of my groin/leg (lymph node area) whilst on Imatinib in the first few months. This was looked and turned out to be nothing. It also went away.

However we are not experts and when your worried and so early into diagnosis it would be advisable to see at least your GP. Maybe you have a specialist nurse who you can chat to? They will be able to advise you and hopefully put your mind at ease.

spoke to my nurse and he told me to see GP if the pain is unbearable. At the moment I am fine. My appointment is next week so I will be informing my doc about this. Hopefully it goes away sooner.

Hi Stephen, and welcome to this forum/website. I may be coincidental but if the symptoms only appeared after you changed the time you took dasatinib (Sprycel) then try going back to you previous schedule -if that is possible- and see if that deals with the problems (at least the digestive ones). 

I am sure your clinician will be able to reassure you at your next visit. Good luck and keep us updated here.
