I have been on Dasatinib (Sprycel) for roughly 9 years and am just about to buy my first home. I'm struggling to find life assurance as I didn't already have any when I was diagnosed (I was 21). Has anyone managed to take out life assurance to cover their repayment mortgage?
Apologies if this has already been discussed on the site but I could only find information about travel insurance (which has helped me in the past!). Any advise appreciated.

Are you in the UK? You'll probably find it night on impossible to buy life assurance that covers CML, and even if you do the cost is likely to be prohibitive.
However, you might be able to find cover that excludes CML or related conditions as a cause of death. There was a thread a couple of years ago about this, and a couple of companies were mentioned - AIG, Friends Life (now Aviva) were touted as possibles.
