Hi Shamshad, 

You have every reason to believe you will live a normal length life with CML. When were you diagnosed, and how is treatment going?

Your wife / future wife cannot be directly harmed by your treatment. Children is a little more complex, but not much (for us guys anyway, it's more complicated when the woman has CML). With imatinib, the general guidance is that it is fine to father children while taking it. For other TKIs there is less evidence, but the growing body of clinical opinion suggests that it's also OK to father children when taking them.

Then I think you have nothing to worry about in terms of marriage or managing to father children.

Not only can you get married and have kids you can play
professional Hockey. Or perhaps football. Or Cricket.
Or chess, or be a Doctor and cure the darn thing!
No limits.
