Fish and PCR negative after 3 months of Sprycel. Started at 100Mg then down to 60 mg. On 12/4 WBC was 3, RBC 3.4, H:H 11.3/33.5, neutrophils,1380. 12/18 WBC down to 2.5,RBC 2.8, H/H 9.6 / 27.8, neurophils1175. For one week heart rate 100-130 on minimal exercise. Doctor decreased Spyrcel to 40 mg and questioned me a great deal because she said this was unusual to have decrease again in CBC. She ordered an EKG which was ok. Also echocardigrqm and CAT scan of lungs, Lung sounds were clear. Refusing Cat scan at this time. I can not get a second opinion until mid February She told me not to stop Spyrcel but to reduce to 40 mg. I quess I am asking for opinions. I think I need to stop it totally for a little while but don’t know. Repeat CBC next week. Thanks for any advice. Happy Holidays:)

Forgetting about the numbers for a moment -how do you feel?
Perhaps you are just very sensitive to dasatinib and only need a small dose to manage things. That would be a pretty great outcome.

Hi David, I quess I didn’t explain myself well on the post. Yeah that was the problem, couldn’t tolerate activity and heart rate was too fast. I actually stopped the Spyrcel on my own for a few days and will restart tonight. I quess I had hoped the doctor would say stop for a few days instead of me deciding on my own. Part of the problem is I don’t have a very good relationship with my Doctor:( Gotta have that trust thing going. Anyway I have nothing to complain about. We all get caught up in the numbers for sure.
