No bone marrow

What does it mean with the bone marrow is empty?

I have wondered this also as my BMB came up “dry” in 2012, which I assume means the same thing. I know I’ve still got bone marrow though, cause I’m still ticking.  I so hope you are feeling better (some handle on your pain?)... and I’m interested if others have heard of “empty” or “dry” BMBs.

One of the listed reasons for it is that you have CML.  Low platelets is also frequently seen in patients with dry taps.

If I'm reading it correctly, the pathologist can still get some material to work with even if the bone marrow aspiration isn't successful.
