All hematology reports are good what's next

What’s next? If you mean your haematological reports are excellent, that sounds like you have reached a “complete haematological response”. Is that right? That basically means your blood counts have normalised. If that’s the case, that’s a good thing in a month.

So perhaps in the last month you have been focusing on white blood cell counts, and seeing them drop down to more normal levels. But next up is managing BCR-Abl, which is the protein which drives CML.

This is monitored using tests called FISH and PCR. You can read lots about them in our booklet here:
