Is limejuice forbidden?

Categories:

Hi again!
I accidentally read to webmd that lime should be avoided. I have asked my doctor several times and told me that the only fruit I should avoid is grapefruit...what is your opinion about this? Has the doctoctor any of yours told this about lime? Some time I have drunk soda with lime juice (sprite)and I am little scared now....I did a small research and I saw that always sprite had lemon and lime and I have drunk several times in the past but nothing happened....

Really, just avoid grapefruit when it comes to fruit. Pharma companies are very risk averse, so if there was risks with lemons or limes they would be stated stated in the patient information leaflet for the drug. But that's not there. Just grapefruit.

I know some other fruits can be CYP3A4 inhibitors, for example pomegranate juice ... but you'd have to drink an awful lot of it.

Don't worry about some lime in your gin and tonic (or your sprite)!
