Sprycel and antihistamines

Hello

The pollen season is starting here in Norway, and i am once again going to start taking cetirizine (Zyrtec) for a month or two.

There should not be any interactions as i could tell, at least not when checking with drugs interaction checker, i will also ask my ONC about it next week just hear what she says. When i was on Glivec i was told there would be no problems, and from my own experience, there was not.

Have any of you had any experience with this combo of Sprycel and cetirizine or other antihistamines?

Any reply and sharing of experiences would be most appreciated, thank you :)

teddyb, I have been taking one kind of allergy medicines or another for years. I switch occasionally because they seem to lose effect after awhile. I've been on Allegra (generic) for almost two years now and it's still working. I start in the spring for tree pollens and taper off after ragweed season. I also use Flonase (generic) daily during those same periods. I have been on Sprycel 20 mg. alternate day therapy since December and my BCR-ABL is holding at -4.5 logs. You shouldn't have a problem with any antihistamine. Be safe and stay well!

Ι have allergiebto especially this season. I take aerius 5mg(desloratadine). My doc told me that ia can take it every time I have symptomes but not to overdo it... It means do not take more than one pill per day...
