Evaluation of a smartphone app (My CML) to support patients with Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia:

In March 2022, a team led by 2 hospital pharmacists from Bristol and Birmingham launched a new app called My CML that is designed to support patients through their CML journey.  Now that the app has been available to patients for a couple of months, they would like to evaluate its usability from a patient perspective and have obtained funding from Pharmacy Research UK (PRUK) and the British Oncology Pharmacy Association (BOPA) to carry out this important piece of research.   Armed with the information they receive from users of the app, they hope to further develop and improve the app, with the aim of producing an enhanced version that will deliver even greater benefits to CML patients across the world.

Their research is in two parts – the first part is a short (10 minute) questionnaire and the second part (taking place in a few months) will be a series of focus groups and interviews with patients.  The two parts will be separate so completing the questionnaire does not mean that you will be committing to taking part in a focus group or interview as well.

If you are a CML patient (age ≥16 years) who has used the My CML app (even if you aren’t using it any more), they would love to hear about your experience with it – please click on the link below to take you to the questionnaire.
