My mom has been on dasatinib for last ten years with BCR abl
She was at 100mg daily which lead to pleural effusion.
Her dose was reduced to 50 mg daily which controlled the pleural effusion .
Her BCR/ abl has been under control
Lately she has been feeling numbness and pain in her feet.
We got her nerve conduction test done today which showed severe neuropathy .
Her neurologist said it could be a side effect of dasatinib and wants us to consider switching to a different medicine
Her hematologist is not sure .
I wanted to know if somebody else was also feeling nerve damage due to dasatinib and how are they managing it .
