Shelf Life of Sprycel

I have googled and found that the shelf life of Sprycel is either two years or three years. I have extra medication which I would like to keep. Recently, I have noticed that the expiration date on the bottle is within a year. I received my medication today and the expiration is October 2025. Do you think these pills are safe to store for two years? Until December 2027? Or did you think they were on a shelf at the Accredo Pharmacy for a year?

This is a relatively new development. My pills used to have an expiry approximately 2 years out from when I received them.

Dasatinib's shelf life (aka Sprycel) is much longer than the expiration date on the bottle. Dasatinib is a salt with strong ionic bonds (dasatinib monohydrate ). If stored in a sealed container and kept dry and cool (room temperature), dasatinib will not degrade any more than table salt degrades. It has a practical shelf life of over 5 years. It can last much longer than that if it were stored in near zero humidity.

Thank you Scuba! I suspected the date on the bottle was unreasonably conservative. The sudden switch to just one year out (when all the literature says a minimum of two to three years) didn't make sense to me.
