Hi all
After 3 years of Undetection, my result suddenly showing 0.014
I had reduced the dose to 200mg bid. I started back to 400mg bid now
Is this temperory? Or resistance/mutation. Kindly help with understanding.
I had a similar experience with Nilotinib. I went almost two years undetected, at the mark of the first year I dropped my dose by 50mg / day. Right at the 2 year mark it went up. Which tells me my sweet spot is somewhere between 400 and 450 mg / day. And it also convinced me that I will never achieve TFR. At least not now.

I am with Alistair, your 0.014 reading can be a blip. I wouldn’t be surprised if you go back to undetectable. Sorry if my first response was a little direct but for me falling out of undetectable was a blow that took a bit to accept. It took me 5 years to reach MR. I read somewhere that those who reach MR quick, say within a year, have a better chance of maintaining TFR. The fact of the matter is that no one really knows for sure yet… You can take solace in the fact that your numbers are great considering your dose. I am at double what you take. For me I have accepted that I will be detectable. My only hope is that it doesn’t increase and/ or I have to up my dose. In fact if I can remain even at a higher level but still at or below MR I will be happy, maybe I can even drop my dose a little more.
Good luck!
