First just a note to say how great the new site is looking.
Seceondly has anyone got any comments on either of the new drugs available? I was dx in December 03 - in March 04 I started to take Glivec, 400mg per day this was gradually increased but I have had to take prolonged 'holidays' due to low counts. I am now back on Glivec at 300mg - I have been on it again since the beginning of June - my platelet count is starting to fall but this is fairly normal for me - the other counts are drifting slowly down but are all generally okay.
The best biopsy result I had showed 10% philly +VE. After being off Glivec I went back to 100% +VE.
My doc has suggested that I try one of the new drugs - does any one have any feedback on either of them?
I'm looking forward to trying something new as Glivec hasn't worked for me and despite looking for a donor no-one suitable has been found yet.
