Until now, I haven't felt inspired to get involved with a support group, especially after I was told not to go onto the internet, following my DX in Jan 2001! I was only told about this group recently and when i saw the original contribution and subsequent responses from people with similar experiences, I felt the time was right to take the plunge.
I'm a 41 year old male, married with 2 children (8 and 11) living with CML for almost 6 years now. Currently living in Nottinghamshire in the UK and being treated with Glivec at the City Hospital in Nottingham, under Professor Nigel Russell.
I'm intending to come to the conference in October. Is anyone else going from this part of the world?
