My PCR Result

Well, I went to the RVI yesterday and discovered that my PCR taken six months ago was 0.8

Which is slightly up from the previous one of 0.4 (which was a lot less than the one before, which was a lot more than the one before that etc.)

I can't help but feel a little, well, deflated that it's not lower (how's that for gratitude?)

Anyway, it's good isn't it? 0.8

Will I ever get into the realms of 0.0... ? I wonder.

PS is 0.8 classed as CCR? A log 3 reduction?
I used to know this stuff... I suppose it's a good sign I forgot :-)

Many thanks.

Steven.

Sorry to hear that your PCR is oscillating.

Don't worry too much about individual readings as there is a fair amount of error in the process, but obviously you do want a downward trend.

I noticed that my PCR went uo a bit up when
a) A 3 week supply of the Glivec get too warm (i.e. over 30 degrees C). This could easily have happened to you in our hot summer!

b) I was taking them more eratically (i.e. not at the same time each day).

There's no science to the above, but there again, perhaps one of these is the case for you?!
