PCR 1st result

Hello All

Been a few weeks since my last post, which was regarding my 1st pcr result and stem cell banking.

Well firstly the good news we now have a baby daughter born last week 8/11/2006 7.3lbs and 'Beautiful' name 'Helana'.

Secondly was at Hammersmith yesterday and finally was given my 1st pcr result after waiting a month or so for it, not knowing that it takes sometime for test results to come back.

The result being 46% which was the only figure i was given.. and not being comparable to another was told not to worry too much.

So been i've been on Glivec since june 23rd 2006, should i expect a long haul to get this figure down to a reasonable level?

Thanks
Jason.

Congratulations on the birth of Helena !
Marvellous news.
It won't be till your next PCR result that you'll see the % creeping down - some people take ages and others quite quickly. (Not sure my grammar's correct there?) It doesn't seem to matter too much in the long run though.
Have fun with your new baby - enjoy those sleepless nights!

Sorry, I meant of course, Helana - a beautiful name.
