I am feeling like a miserable lump today - fed up with CML. Is anyone feeling the same?

Hi Sian
please don't be miserable and fed up enjoy every day. One thing to think on is to wonder whether or not cml is fed up with living with you ? Lateral thinking /
keep smiling

Hi Sian
Could it be Glivec side affect. I get weepy for no particular reason since starting it. Doc said it was becouse I have CML and would expect me to be upset, but at the conference in October other people said they cried for no reason as well. Girlies obvioulsy have cornered the market on spontanious weeping for no reason which is good for you, gets it out of your system, but guys dont do that sort of thing and bottle it up. Just a thought.
Hope you feel better soon.
Apryl
Hi Sian and Apryl
That's me too - I'm another with fits of the weepies! I hadnt put it down as a possible side effect of Glivec and thought it was just the way I was reacting to the dx [Sept], or possibly just being stressed or hormonal :-). But if its more widespread than that...sounds likely really doesnt it!
And Apryl, I think your survey idea is an excellent one. the more information researchers have to beat CML in every way - the better!!
Further to cheer everyone up - I read somewhere [and cant remember where, concetrations terrible!] that Dr Druker reckons there will be a cure for CML within 5 years. Promising I thought.
Happy Christmas all!
Janet
Thanks for putting your messages on - it certainly makes me feel less pathetic to hear that it gets you down sometimes as well.....sometimes I think it's because it seems to take so long for anything to happen with this blasted illness - but I have decided to battlle on with a smiling face and hope you all can too!!!!
And thanks to Janet for a lovely positive festive thought of a cure :-)
