not suitable pcr test

i had my pcr test about 4 weeks ago then had app with my consultant last, but was told that the pcr was not a good sample so they requested another pcr test. Last time I supplied them with 5 test tubes and today they have asked for 7 test tubes. Anyone else had these problems

Hi Sue
It's possible that the sample degraded before the test was run. It used to happen frequently when there were delays in getting the sample to the Lab. We used to wish that they'd let someone know this had happened and another sample could have been taken and sent immediately, instead of having to wait till your next visit. Very frustrating.
