Just an update on Brian's progress. His rash became extremely bad, swollen red blistering itchy skin all over his body,after persevering with anti histamines etc. Back to doctor, taken off anti depressent (prozac) and other odds and ends. Given prednisolone, (steroid) tablets and also cortisone cream, the rash settled very quickly and he also feels much better generally. At long last he is feeling more himself after 5 months of glivec and so far all hospital visits are concerned, all is going according to plan. Energy levels are getting better, but still does get tired easily, spirits better, stomach still unsettled, very little bone pain, taste for food is not good until later in the day - but generally so much better hurray!
