Hi all,
my husband is having terrible stomach pain after taking gleevec.
He was dx at June, and until now he has been more or less tolerating Gleevec, but the last two weeks the pain in the stomach appeared during the whole day.
Any idea, on the best way to take gleevec?
Is there any diet advise to reduce acidity due to Gleevec?

Has he changed his diet recently? Sometimes this can trigger stomach problems.
If possible keep to a gentle food regime for a while, I have cut out acids like vinegar, citrus etc in the evenings when I take my tablets. Also I find that fats can set off a bad reaction, so tend to eat boiled rice, or lentils, or pasta as the main source of 'stodge!
When he sees specialist next time do make sure this gets mentioned, there are things that can help. Where is he being treated? There may be other CMLers in your area that can give other hints and tips.
