Life Insurance

Hi Every one

Just wondered if anyone out there could give me some advice. I was diagnosed in August 2007 and it was the spur that made me and the wife get that 'house of our dreams' so I will be moving soon, I have arrange the mortgage and life cover for the wife as I already had a very good life cover through my works group policy. Everything was looking rosy.

But the company is being taken over and one of the things all staff will have to do is get a new benefit package so I may need to re-apply for Life Assurance.

I just wondered if anybody out there had an experience of companies who will provide insurance for people with CML in case the worst happens at work.

Thanks and this place is a goldmine of information for people.

Cheers

Derren

after being dx'd in december 06 I got a critical illness payout with the provider where I work (Candia Life ISTR), every year we have a flex benefits scheme for everything from life assurance, to discounted wine :) (as you can tell I work for a company that looks after it's employees quite well)

When I quuiered my CML with the people who run the scheme about impact of CML and the existing payout they told me it would have no impact and everything 'should' be ok if the worst happens.

ISTR the life assurance is through PPP or maybe AXA

Hi

My consultant told me that once diagnosed with CML that there was no chance of getting any more life insurance. It will be interesting to hear if you manage to find out differently.
