I have just heard that the All Welsh Medicines Strategy Group has given positive guidance for use in the NHS Wales.
This is great news for Welsh patients and follows on from the SMC guidance in Scotland. However, we still have a problem in England. Without NICE guidance some pct/nhs trusts will continue to refuse funding. There are patients in some parts of England whose lives continue to be needlessly put at risk.
