Hi Everyone,
Just received my 12 year old son Jack's PCR result,he has been on Glivac for 9 months. It is 0.000507 which is a 3.5 log reduction.
Just wanted to share our good news. Feeling happy and still worried at the same time. I did not think this combination of feelings was possible.
Trish.

0.000507 is more like a 4.5 log reduction for me.
Good news on the excellent PCR results.
I think it is normal to feel happy and worried at the same time in this situation. Hopefully things will continue to go well for you.

Hi Trish,
How fantastic for you all! Doesnt seem long since we met at Edinburgh - but haven't things moved on?! Keep looking forward. Is Jack feeling well on Glivec and able to manage to do all he wants to?
Much love,

hello Trish,
congratulations on such a good result for Jack. it is truly a wonderful response. i am sure you still have worries about the future... we all do... but especially as this is your child. it is much easier in a way to worry for oneself than to worry for another, but it is a normal state of affairs after a diagnosis of CML. sometimes talking to someone not involved can help put our 'irrational' fears into some kind of perspective. i see a homeopath who treats quite a lot of cancer patients and he is very good at listening, with the added bonus that he gives me a remedy to counter the negative effects of worry ans stress.
but please enjoy this fantasic news as you should.... with hope and positivity for the future.
best wishes,
Sandy
