Happy News Re; Aaron

Hi everyone, Aaron had his 12 weekly appointment with his consultant today and she has discharged him!! Its 5 years this month since he was diagnosed and he has been through so much. He will now go onto the follow up clinic which is once or twice a year and will then eventually go to the adult hospital at Selly Oak in Birmingham.

This is a massive milestone for us and I was quite emotional. Its been one hell of a five year rollercoaster ride but we are just so pleased that we have started to come out the other side.

I really hope that this gives hope to the ones who are just about to embark on their journey through transplant. Its a long road but so worth it in our case.

Much love everyone.

Hi Jayne

I am 6 months post tx and am delighted to read such good news. Aaron must be really excited to all but leave the CML behind and to move on and enjoy his student days.

It must be rather a strange feeling for you.

I can't wait until I get to Aaron's stage.

Love and good wishes to you all

Hi Jayne and Aaron.
I have been away for a week but I am so pleased to come back to this wonderful news. It is such a milestone as you say and I am really pleased ... especially for Aaron of course ;o) There were some dark times and it was not an easy journey but as you say Jayne... it has been worth it.
