Impared glucose tolerance?

Latest results show Blood sugar=6.5; glycated Hb within normal range, suggesting impaired
glucose tolerance rather than frank diabetes.

Not sure what this means any answers anyone please?

At least the blood sugar level is well down, hats a relief.

Hi Pennie.... good news that it is not diabetes ;o)
I am not sure however what 'impaired glucose intolerance' would mean...nor how is might be remedied.
Maybe you should take a look on Wikipedia... I always find this is quite a good resource for starting off research.

BTW... Origins craft fair is on during this week and next.

Hi

Hope this is of help ,
I have type 1 diabetes for approx 15 years.
When i started glivec i had to reduce my insulin quite a bit as i was always getting hypos. Long acting droped from 26 units to about 12 units, short acting 7-8 units down to 2-4 units.
I have put on about 2 stone since then and am back up to what i was on pre-glivec. From my experience glivec makes the insulin more potent .
I did inform my doctors f this. Not sure how many type 1 diabetic with cml are out there.

Very happy as my pcr was 0.002 . yey. had cml for about 4.5 years now
