PCRU!!

Got the results of my PCR yesterday in Durham. I've been very happy at 0.04% PCR ABL for the last 9 months, having taken 15 months post dx to get there, (and to get #1256 in the zero club). I was hoping the result would continue to be stable, but the result from the lab in Newcastle was 0.00%! The fact that work is really stressful at the moment now absolutely does not matter - new spring in my step.

Thanks for all the useful discussions - will be following up suggestions made about holiday insurance shortly.

Dear Alistair....... great news on your U status ;o)
You must be feeling great.

Sandy

There are no words that can describe the feelings when you first get a PCRU.Even passing your driving test fails into insignificance!!!
Well done Alistair, wonderful news.

Pleased to hear your news Alistair. Im not far away from you in Darlington and my last PCR came back as 0.00 which is also a first for me after a tad longer than you, 28 months.
I hope its something in the northern water!
Any chance you can drop me your email address so I can ask you a few questions about where you are being treated etc.
Cheers

Bram

Congratulations to you too Bram..... ;o)

Bram, I'm being treated at Unive Hosp North Durham. Dr Keenan is my consultant, and is great -in many ways I am a difficult patient for doctors as 1) I am the only non-medical memeber of a medical family, and 2) I've had a number of unusual medical conditionsa over the years so I am used to knowing more about conditions than some of teh doctors I see - particularly at the GP. Dr Keenan however talks with me absolutely straight, and arranges her clinics so patient's time away from work is minimised.
