I wondered if it would be possible for anyone interested to add the area where they live onto the badge they are given at registration at the CML SEMINAR this year. Maybe this could help when talking to others at coffee breaks and at lunch to be aware of other cmlers/carers living near to each other and if people then wanted they could then meet up from time to time or start a support group in the area where they live. What do others think to this? Sue D

Hi Sue, that a good Idea! I, for one, would be quite happy to add that on to my badge. Anyone who isnt happy to do this can easily just opt out on the day.
There is a member from Bristol who I think has a son with CML, but I cant remember her name (sorry if its you!) but I do remember she had some good advice for me a while ago & offered to meet me for a chat & said she lived there.

Hi Ali thanks for reply, I come from Queensbury Bradford West Yorkshire, and have had no face to face support during the last nine years of having cml. However I am now a member of the Yorkshire Region CML Support Group which has been running since July this year. We also have our own web site, not forgetting the constant support from this web site. It could well be that if there are any other people out there that do not know about our support group or the Hammersmith Support then meeting someone else from the same area at the CML Seminar might just point them in the right direction Sue D
