helful hints for NICE comments -Newswire

I have posted some helpful points from Simon Phil and Andy under the newswire section.

I will update as I go on this week

Sandy

I just want to say to all you people putting together a very good case for the continued use of these drugs, thank you very, very much.

Bhiru - this will be andy Parkins. post on the 25th November, under the heading "some ideas" further down the page?

For those of you who haven't read the comments by the Royal College of Physicians, this is a very easy to read response to the model that NICE used. It highlights in clear language what some of the problems are:

Many of these are already listed under the newswire link, but I thought some of you might want to take a look at what the experts had to say.

Great work by everyone in getting this matter to the attention of MPs and the press
and into the Downing Street site. Let us hope it will have the desired result.

I have not posted for a long time but read the content of the posts very frequently. All very enlightening and comforting. I am doing well after 5 years on Imatanib and my pcr readings hover around 0.002 but do understand the real anxieties of others less fortunate.

I have written to Oliver Letwin our local MP ( who I think is currently writing the Conservative election strategy) and he has responded very promptly with a copy of the letter he has written to Andy Burnham ( Health Minister).
I feel sure we have a strong argument to pursue.
