Dear friends,
With reference to the NICE problem - I have permission from my local branch of Sainsbury's to go into their shop with three friends next week and collect signatures etc. for our petition. They will provide me with tables and chairs and say I can display a large poster which says -
PLEASE SAVE MY LEUKAEMIA DRUG. I can also print handouts with details about what's going on.
I can also leave the petition in the garage section and the cafe - both seperate buildings.
In 2001 I did the same thing in this shop and got ab0ut 8,000 signatures in five days - NICE were playing up again at that time. In the end NICE did a u turn and we won a victory for common sense and got our drug.
Am putting this on our site to perhaps give you the idea that you can go to your local Sainsbury's and do the same please.
Also am doing a letter drop in my village and the local shops are collecting signatures that come in for me as a result.
An article went into my local evening newspaper yesterday about it all - circulation 350,000.
Sainsbury's will be my home next week - Christmas is on hold.
If I can be of help to anyone please ask.
Love to all, Pat. (Diagnosed 1999 and taking 600 mg Glivec with 0 PCR)
