Dasatinib - My early christmas pesent

Hello all,
I have just returned from the hospital, where I was given my first set of Fish results since starting on Dasatinib in September.
At that point I had been taking Glivec, & had been stuck on 86% for 6 months, now I am down to an unbelievable 3%.
This was quite emotional, & I did shed a few tears of joy.
This just shows what a great drug this can be to those of us that need it, & that we must all fight to make it available when needed.
Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year to all.

Congratulations Bob, that is an amazing result, what a lovely start to your Christmas celabrations.

Wonderful news Bob!!! Exactly my story too except that I was 18months stuck!!! It is indeed a brilliantly effective treatment and, I don't know about you, but I find it's somehow easier on the system too...
Celebrate!!!
Vickie

Hello Vickie,
Its still not sunk in yet how good a result this is, I still can't believe it.
As for side effects I only suffer from fatigue, & hopefully that will get easier, I certainly don't miss the leg cramps that I used to get on Glivec.
I think we will be celebrating over the next few days.
Bob

Dear Bob........ wishing you the best for the coming year. Many many congratulations on your response to dasatinib.
