You are here

just joined so nice not to feel alone!

Hi everyone - my name is Beth and I feel really grateful that this site exists.

I have had a pretty extraordinary 3 months since being dx and have been in BC remission for a month, with a PCR test pending this month.

I feel enormously grateful for the developers of Glivec - it seems to have changed the face of leukemia. Is there really a free lunch though? Do we have stats for long term usage?

I set about putting in place an alternative health regime around the orthodox treatment and was wondering if other members have done the same?

Thanks to you who have started and do administer this site.

Love to everyone in the same position as myself. It's been a great journey so far with a lot of personal revelations and healing and can honestly say it's one of the best things that ever happened to me!

I am not sure there is any real long term (10+ years) knowledege yet as the drugs haven't been available for that long

for me when I was DX'd my GP said I had 1-3 years to live without treatment and now I am over that 3 years so I treat every day as a bonus when I think of that original conversation

I am down the road in berkshire so if you ever feel the need to talk to anyone please let me know

assume you are being treated at the Hammersmith?
