NICE ACD- imatinib intolerance

The latest NICE consultation does not seem to have generated the same amount of postings on this forum as the previous one. I expect we are all getting fed up with restating what we see as the obvious but it is important that as many as possible make a new submission to NICE. Looking at the submissions to the previous ACD, I would say that the clinicians and other experts will comment on the technical points. It is up to us to comment on our disbelief that NICE cannot accept the benefits of these drugs and explain the possible impact on individual lives. I hope I am wrong and that you have all submitted comments already but if not, please do so soon.

Simon Clayson

Can you give the link to the NICE document please?

To be honest Simon, I hadn't realised that another response was needed. Maybe others hadn't either? That's no excuse I know, but it is the reason why I haven't responded yet.

The link is on the Newswire dated 9 February on the right of this page. It is a new consultation so my understanding is that we need to comment again. You would hope they would carry forward previous comments but I am not relying on that.

Simon

I am sorry if I did not make it clear the this is a new ACD and you will need to make new comments via the NICE website....
see my previous post below:

"See Newswire for the links to NICE for comment on ACD for IM intolerance- scroll down the NICE page until you reach the Summary. This makes for easier reading.

Deadline for individual comments is March 2nd."

Committee meeting for this new ACD and which will produce the Final Appraisal Determination (FAD) is in Manchester on March 9th.
I have registered to attend this meeting. It is possible for one other person representing this group to attend so If anyone would like to join me then please let me know asap.

Sandy

I am currently working on CML Supports official response which we have to do all over again. I know this is a pain but NICE will not accept previous comments because this is a new appraisal for IM intolerance only.

Best wishes,
Sandy

If you copy and paste the link below, it will take you to a page where all the comments received on the first appraisal document are listed

Interesting stuff! All our emails and web comments are listed verbatim. Very helpful in formulating comments on the imatinib-intollerant appraisal doc.
